Czym jest chleb? W najprostszym przypadku jest to po prostu pasta z m\u0105ki lub m\u0105czki i wody gotowana na ogniu lub w jego otoczeniu. Bardziej z\u0142o\u017cone chleby s\u0105 na r\u00f3\u017cne sposoby zakwaszane i zawieraj\u0105 s\u00f3l oraz inne sk\u0142adniki, w szczeg\u00f3lno\u015bci t\u0142uszcz i cukier.

\nBread presented by the faithful for the Eucharist but not used for that purpose was called the eulogia<\/em>. The bishop blessed it and had it distributed to catechumens and to absent members of the community. By the fourth century, Christians were sending the eulogia<\/em> to one another as a symbol of their union.<\/p>\n Modern Theology<\/em> , 2019<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
Bread as a symbol has also had negative aspects. The good wife does not eat the «bread of idleness» (Prv<\/em>. 31:27). The ungodly «eat the bread of wickedness» (Prv<\/em>. 4:17). The «bread of deceit» has a sweet taste but leaves the mouth full of gravel (Prv<\/em>. 20:17). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
